In 1987, forethought led Seicomart to introduce its own lineup of wines. This development preceded a major turning point toward the popularity of wines Japan wide. To begin with, we began by offering only three kinds of wine for sale. Today however, stores offer a selection of up to 80 wines including an exclusive catalogue range. Customers can order exceptional wines of their choice through our retail outlets. Our regular patrons as well as our catalogue customers are able to select from a range of European wines produced by vineyards in France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Bulgaria. We also cater to differing tastes with our selections from the Southern Hemisphere including South Africa and Chile.
Our own wine experts visit wineries abroad and select virtually every bottle shoppers see on our shelves. As a result of our attention to detail, we are proud to offer top quality, popular wines. Remarkably, we are able to retail 750 ml. bottles of table wine from as low as 400yen (Japanese yen). These factors combined make us confident about price and quality. The direct deals we make, which exclude third party wine merchants, allow us to offer consumers the best prices in the industry. In support of our enterprise, our own importing house and our bulk storage facility allow us to distribute the wines in the most efficient manner possible throughout our network of retail stores. |
